Project: Kids in Distress Poster
The inspiration for my design revolves around the relationship between two hands. The bigger hand symbolizes somebody who is there for you, someone stronger, who can protect and take care of you. The smaller hand represents a child in need. I really feel that superheros are all around us, they are just disguised as parents, teachers, and anyone willing to make a difference in a child's life. When we help someone we are also helping built a stronger community. The colors used in the poster are influenced by Superman, and the KID logo was used on the smaller hand to represent the children aided from this organization. The typography on the poster was created to stress the core values of this organization: Family, Safety, Trust, Compassion, Tenacity, and Wisdom.
